The Seasons of Dancing Waters
The town of Orangeville and surrounding communities have a wide number of events,
tournaments and artistic programs.
Every season at Dancing Waters has its own attractions.
Winter
We are close to several downhill skiing facilities and are only 5 km away from
a world class cross country skiing club. The Bruce trail is just a short walk
away and is open for winter hiking. We provide a number of bird feeders on the
property and many hours can be enjoyed watching the antics of our feathered
friends from the warmth of our solarium. A relaxing hot tub on a winters
evening followed by a hot toddy in front of the fire will ensure a good nights
sleep for all visitors.
Spring
In the early spring (late March to mid April) the spring run of large rainbow
trout up from Georgian Bay is a marvel to watch as they fight their way upstream
to spawn and return to the lake.
Spring also sees the opening of a number of highly rated golf courses. The
Bruce Trail is always open for trail hikers and maps of the trail are provided
upon request. The bird feeders become very active as the returning birds are
always looking for food until the natural food is available. Our hot tub is
particularly enjoyable for the cool spring days or evenings.
Summer
Summer brings a wide array of activities to the Orangeville and Hockley Valley
area. An active community, Orangeville goes all out to provide numerous
interesting options to the areas visitors. We will provide all of the
information concerning the choices available on our web site and of course,
at Dancing Waters. Relaxing in the shade of the trees on the back deck of the
house enjoying a beverage of your choice is also a popular pastime.
Fall
Outside of the outstanding fall colours the Orangeville area comes alive with
special artisan shows, fall fairs and numerous activities for both outside and
inside entertainment. The fall season is especially active and busy with
visitors enjoying the warm days and cool evenings.
Join us at Dancing Waters to enjoy the colour of the season and warm campfires
and hot tubs in the evening.
